An Introduction,

Sri Maha Kaliamman Urumi Melam was builded in 1998 at Sungai Buloh,Selangor. We had lot of booking and performed at lot of places and temple. We also performing at Batu Caves for Thaipusam every year. We also won lot of Urumi Melam Competitions in K.L, Ipoh, and so on. There is 19 members (below) in MAHA KALI URUMI MELAM.

Dear Tamilans,

First of all,we would like to tell about URUMI MELAM. It is a music of INDIAN tradition. Which we play during our culture prayers like prayers at BATU CAVES for THAIPUSAM and also in other temples for yearly prayers. But now days some of our INDIAN people whom having small KOVIL in their houses also using our URUMI MELAM for their yearly prayers. Not just that also been using for function like birthday, wedding dinner, wedding, stage show and etc. We just want that our URUMI MELAM not forgotten or gone from our culture stuff. What we need is your supports.
